Driving Requirements
Our driving lessons are tailored to suit your individual needs, dependant on what stage you are already at:
If you are a complete beginner: On your first lesson your instructor will introduce you to the controls of the car, get you moving away and stopping, changing gears, steering. By the end of this lesson you will be driving the car!
If you have done some driving before: Here your first lesson is a normal teaching lesson but your instructor will also be assessing the level you have already reached so that they can move forward from there, this means you don't pay for tuition that you don't require. You will be under full tuition at all times where necessary.
Refresher lessons: These depend very much on how long since you last drove and any major concerns you may have. Your instructor will discuss with you any specific types of driving/manoeuvres that may worry you as well as checking that you are confident with your overall driving. Again you will be given all necessary instruction as required.
Intensive courses: A number of schools are happy to take your money and do all your lessons over a short period of time. However, the Driving Standards Agency do not recommend very short courses as the failure rate on these is extremely high. For this reason we don't do intensive courses over 1-2 weeks, we can do them over slightly longer 3+ weeks. You will start with a 2 hour trial lesson at the end of this your instructor will discuss with you how quickly you want to take your driving test and will fit in the number of lessons you need to suit this as each person is an individual and has different requirements.
Pass Plus: A six hour course which can only be taken after you have passed your driving test. This course is aimed at making you a more advanced driver. There is no test at the end of this course but you will be given a certificate which entitles you to a reduction in your 1st year's car insurance with a selection of major insurers.
Whilst we recommend that you take your lessons in 2 hour sessions (as you will learn a lot quicker this way) we do not insist on it. You know what time constraints you have and what you can afford so your lessons can be as long as you wish from 1 hour upwards and you can have as many lessons a week as you would prefer.
Remember you will need a Provisional Driving Licence to be able to start yout lessons. If you do not have one you can click the link below to apply on line.

Please Note:
It will normally take around 2 to 3 weeks for your application to be processed.
The current cost is £45 for a provisional licence, with a free upgrade to a full licence when you pass.
